Jeff Holmen

Jeff Holmen has gained over thirty years of experience in patent litigation and patent preparation and prosecution.  He has represented many large corporate clients, as well as smaller companies and individual inventors.  His knowledge gained from significant patent litigation experience early in his career has helped him to serve his clients most effectively in his patent preparation and prosecution practice.  He practices in the technology fields of semiconductors, digital and analog electronic circuits, circuit design and fabrication, computer hardware and software, artificial intelligence, medical devices, and storage systems.

Jeff earned his B.S. in Electrical Engineering (summa cum laude) from the University of North Dakota while also playing varsity baseball.  He earned his M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Minnesota, and his J.D. (Order of the Coif) from the University of North Dakota.

Outside the office, Jeff maintains an active lifestyle (running, weightlifting, golfing, and playing softball).  He loved coaching his son’s basketball and baseball teams for many years, as well as traveling around the country to watch his daughter compete at the elite level in USA Gymnastics.  He also enjoys some more relaxing activities, including spending time at his family’s lake cabin.
