Michael A. Collins

Michael Collins is a shareholder of Billion & Armitage. Mike practices intellectual property law in the computer software, hardware and electrical engineering fields.

Mike received his Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree (with honors) from the University of Wisconsin. He graduatedcum laude from the University of Minnesota Law School. Prior to joining Billion & Armitage, Mike was a shareholder and hiring manager at an established Minneapolis intellectual property law firm. Mike prepares and prosecutes patent applications in such fields as power converters (e.g., switched-mode power supplies, active rectifier/inverter systems), semiconductor fabrication, magnetic storage devices, power generation/distribution systems, and various software applications. For clients, Mike is often called upon to prepare non-infringement, patentability and clearance investigations in various technical fields.
