Nathan Gallus

Nathan Gallus is a registered patent attorney at Billion & Armitage whose practice spans the full spectrum of intellectual property services, from procurement and portfolio management to strategic counseling across the biotechnology, medical device, electrical, software, AI, and mechanical technology sectors.

With almost two decades of combined legal, corporate, and research experience, Nathan brings a depth of perspective that bridges technical innovation with legal strategy. He has held positions at several leading patent and IP boutique law firms, served as a patent clerk for a large multinational medical device company, and worked as an Assistant Scientist in the Department of Dermatology at the University of Minnesota. This diverse background equips him with a practical understanding of innovation from all sides of legal, corporate, and research standpoints.

His experience includes advising clients on domestic and foreign patent prosecution, IP due diligence, licensing, and portfolio strategy—delivering pragmatic solutions aligned with business and technology goals.

Nathan earned his J.D. from the University of St. Thomas School of Law, where he served as Managing Editor of the Journal of Law and Public Policy and competed on the Giles S. Sutherland Intellectual Property Moot Court Team. He holds a B.S. in Neuroscience and Physiology from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities.
